Lamplighter LoRa gateway

Connect a reader to this computer’s USB Meshtastic radio. Both devices must share Wi-Fi or a hotspot. The other reader needs its own gateway and radio.

Private messages, small groups and sealed courier messages remain encrypted between Lamplighter readers. Nearby names, radio addresses and traffic timing are visible. Encryption provides no guarantee of safety or delivery.

Messages can take minutes. Library transfers require an explicit slow-radio choice and can take days or months. Installers do not transfer over radio. An ordinary Bitchat app needs a compatible Bluetooth bridge to use this LoRa path.

Keep this page and the unlocked reader open. Locking the reader stops its connection. A packet already given to a radio cannot be recalled. If the connection disappears, the gateway drops its waiting queue within 20 seconds.
